MAD6 XC
The MAD6 is the sixth generation of the carbonXS series. The bicycle was designed to give kids the best performing ride possible. Every component has been chosen to minimize weight and increase performance. Weight is the key to a kids riding happiness. The suspension set up is custom to every bike ordered and produced. Kids on a well set up bike ride longer and faster with more confidence. The MAD6 XC is the lightest most advanced dual suspension kids bike in the world that makes no compromises.
The flagship of the fleet
The MAD6 incorporates a variable frame adjustment that allows the set up to be changed as the rider grows. The smallest setting makes the bike more stable for younger riders by lowering the standover height and adjusting the headset angle. As the rider gets taller, the frame geometry elongates and the headset angle reduces, creating a bike that's more responsive and agile.
The frame size can be adjusted to suit a rider from under five years old to about nine years old.

Detailed Breakdown
Crank-set
The custom made crank-set was designed to decrease the pedal centre (pedal to pedal width of the bike) instead of cutting down or shortening an adult set. Reducing centers gives kids more power and comfort.
Brakes
Shimano XT savagely good stopping power and the most reliable brakes for years of performance.
Group set
10 speed SRAM GX short cage as standard, matched with a front carbon chain ring and carbon bash guards. A super light weight configuration with low shift forces in the rapid fire changer. Options for SAINT or Micro-shift Advent short cages available.
Wheels
We have custom lightweight carbon rims made and lace the wheels up ourselves with race hubs. The rims are custom drilled for a 16 spoke set-up. These are matched with XC tires and setup for tubeless if required. Light, stiff and bullet proof.
Forks
Like the crank-set, nothing in the world existed that suits kids lighter weights. So we deigned and built our own. Air sprung forks do not work for a kids weight. The idea of simply dropping the pressure in a shortened adult fork doesn’t work well, we know as we have tested almost every fork out there.
Key to good performance is low striction (friction in the movement) and low breakaway points (the force required to start the fork moving). These are better summarized as “plush and buttery”! Even the highest quality air sprung forks have breakaway forces too high for a kids weight especially after 6 months of use.
We’ve understood for a long time, if you want an adult plush full sized fork then go the coil option – supple and smooth for years! Based on this we designed our own full coil fork with lockout. Tuned for performance and with a rider weight under 75lbs (35kg).
